Jean Buckholz

Jean is a problem-solver and has always enjoyed working on investment solutions for clients. She believes the Waller & Wax Advisors’ client-focused value system helps her to make a difference.

As a wealth advisor, Jean provides “world class” wealth management planning and consulting services to clients. With over 28 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Jean collaborates with our clients and uses a comprehensive approach to address complex financial needs and develop a customized strategy to help meet their individual goals and objectives. She also serves as a member of the Waller & Wax Investment Committee.

Previously, Jean led the Waller & Wax Advisor client service team focusing on insurance and college planning, retirement plan rollovers, estate settlement, and all other vital client service needs. Jean was responsible for the client onboarding process ensuring the smooth establishment of accounts and transfer of assets while familiarizing clients with our wealth management experience.

Before joining Waller & Wax Advisors in 2008, Jean managed her own financial planning while training new advisors in the areas of client service, financial planning and successful practice management.

Jean’s credentials include:

  • Series 7 (General Securities), 63 (Blue Sky) & 65 (Registered Investment Advisor Representative)
  • Life, Health & Variable Annuity Insurance license
  • Bachelor of Arts in English/Professional and Technical Writing

Jean attended Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts, concentrating in English and secondary education and graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in English/Professional and Technical Writing.

Originally from Virginia, Jean has lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Texas before setting her roots in Tampa in 1985. She is involved with Stride for Strays, a fundraising event for the Animal Coalition of Tampa. In her spare time, Jean is renovating and remodeling her home and xeriscaping her yard, emphasizing plants to attract bees, butterflies and birds.
